On the morning of November 27th, the overseas adaptability trial departure ceremony of MHERO Ⅰ took place at the MHERO Technology Smart Park.

This marks a new exploration for Dongfeng Motor Corporation in testing and validation.   The "Migration" engineering team, composed of personnel from Dongfeng Motor Corporation Research and Development Institute and Xiangyang Da'an Testing Center in Hubei Province, China, will be divided into two groups to conduct vehicle testing in the European Union and the Middle East.   The overall trial is expected to be completed by late March 2024.image

Representatives from Dongfeng Motor Corporation International Business Division, Dongfeng Import and Export Corporation, Research and Development Institute, MHERO Technology, and relevant personnel from Xiangyang Da'an in Hubei Province participated in the departure ceremony.

The overseas adaptability trial ensures that MHERO Ⅰ can adapt to the environmental conditions and user demands overseas.  Let's look at the "challenges" that the MHERO Ⅰ, divided into two routes, will undergo.

Considering the local exceptional climate, road conditions, and cultural habits, the trial team will collaborate with local drivers to conduct vehicle driving and evaluations.  Critical tests will be based on feedback from real local users, emphasizing the consideration of local conditions.

Middle East Region:

The testing journey to the Middle East includes typical countries and regions with tropical desert climates, such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait.  The test routes cover geographical conditions like deserts, cities, coastal areas, and mountainous regions.  Special consideration is given to local user scenarios, such as prolonged idling with air conditioning on during parking, not turning off the engine while refueling at gas stations, and continuous long-distance high-speed driving through the desert.

European Union Region:

The testing journey to the European Union includes countries such as Germany, France, Sweden, and Norway.  The routes cover various terrains, including mountains, coastal areas, and cities, aiming to replicate real user scenarios such as daily commuting, shopping, intercity travel, and long-distance journeys.

In response to these user scenarios, the team will focus on evaluating key indicators that users are concerned about, including intelligent driving, smart navigation, charging compatibility, range, and power performance. Additionally, road reliability will be assessed to test the stability and adaptability of the vehicles under different road conditions and environments. The estimated mileage for each vehicle is expected to reach 15,000 kilometers.
